Hi! I’m Marisa Christensen, an ACE Certified Personal Trainer & soon-to-be Registered Dietitian. I wasn’t always an anti-diet advocate and food celebrating group fitness instructor. In fact, when I was younger I struggled with yo-yo dieting. With proper education, I was able to stop the cycle and learned how to find peace with food (all while keeping my weight where I wanted it to be!) Today I celebrate my body for all the amazing things it can do, food for its ability to nourish, comfort, and evoke pleasure and joy, and exercise for the energy it gives, de-stressing properties it has, and self-confidence it provides. I know what it’s like to obsess over food, and I also know what it’s like to break free from food holding the power and that freedom is what I want for you.
